
Omar is an emergency response professional with more than 20 years of experience in both the humanitarian and private sectors across several functions including regional and country representative, program director, adult learning specialist, and senior technical advisor.
In addition to his background in Public Health in Developing Countries, his strengths include thorough knowledge of acceptable developing country project design criteria, sound experience producing proposals for major institutional donors, strategic planning, partnership brokering, relationship building, problem solving and working with diverse constituents.
Omar has experience working in both conflict and post conflict zones, overseeing transfer of technology initiatives and capacity strengthening programs for local humanitarian, public, and private sector actors. International experience has focused on Africa, Asia, Latin America and and the Middle East. Native English speaker with professional fluency in both French and Arabic.
